    This week, I want to take a moment to acknowledge something many of us are feeling, even if we are carrying it quietly.

    Our Nation has experienced loss. We have said goodbye to Elders who carried knowledge, language, and lived history. We have also lost a respected leader who stepped forward to serve our people. Each loss is felt deeply not only by families and friends, but across our communities. In these moments I am reminded how connected we are, and how much each person contributes to the strength of our Nation.
