Métis entrepreneurs can build relationships within their communities and across the province and procurement opportunities can connect to Métis businesses. Developed by the the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and ran by our affiliate, Apeetogosan.
Resources and Tools for
Helping build strong, resilient Métis families by supporting and advocating for those involved with the intervention system, as well as by providing culturally appropriate resources and tools to support early learning and child development.
Post-secondary
The Otipemisiwak Métis Government provides scholarships annually to reward outstanding academic achievement. Scholarships are open to Métis students pursuing post-secondary education.

Hunting, fishing, and trapping are important to many Métis people’s way of life throughout history and remains important to the culture today. Citizens of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government can become approved Harvesters.

We are committed to providing culturally appropriate, self-directed health and wellness opportunities that will address the unique health profile of Métis Albertans and their communities.
Support for
Métis peoples’ lived residential school experiences had and continue to have deep, intergenerational impacts on individuals, families, friends, and communities. Find supports to help heal.
Métis youth
Increasing engagement and interaction with Métis youth aged 12-29 throughout the Métis Nation within Alberta. Our team addresses the specific needs of Métis youth to provide a sense of belonging to their community and connection to their culture.
Supports and programs for
Our two key affiliates dealing with Métis housing initiatives are the Métis Urban Housing Corporation (MUHC) and the Métis Capital Housing Corporation.
