March 1, 2022: We are officially entering Step 2 of the province reopening. This means the following restrictions will be removed:
- Any remaining school requirements (e.g. kindergarten to grade 6 cohorting)
- Youth screening activities for entertainment and sport activities
- Capacity limits on all large venues and entertainment venues
- Indoor and outdoor social gathering limits
- Mandatory work-from-home requirements
- Indoor masking
Where Can I Get a Vaccine?
You can book your appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine by calling Alberta Health Services at 811, visiting alberta.ca/covid, or by calling your local pharmacy. Anyone who is aged 5 and older is eligible to receive a vaccine. If you are uncertain about the vaccine, please consult a doctor before booking your appointment.
March 27-30, 2021
We host the first ever Métis-led COVID-19 vaccine clinic with great feedback from our community. We were able to vaccinate over 1300 people over four days.
May 15-16, 2021
Our first vaccine clinic was so successful we decided to host more! We held our second Métis-led COVID-19 Vaccine clinic in Lac La Biche and vaccinated over 150 community members.
May 26, 2021
We hosted our fourth Métis-led COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Fort McMurray. Over two days we were able to vaccinate over 350 people.
May 29-30, 2021
We hosted our third Métis-led COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Calgary at the Region 3 office. In one day, we were able to vaccinate over 250 people.
June 18-20, 2021
We hosted our fifth Métis-led COVID-19 vaccine clinic, back where it all began, at the Edmonton Inn and Conference Center. Over three days, we were able to vaccinate over 1000 people.
