Métis people have always maintained a holistic connection with the environment, and practicing their culture and traditions is dependent on an interconnected ecosystem supported by clean air, water, and land. Since the Resolution on the Environment was passed by the MNA Provincial Council in 2019, we have been undertaking activities to monitor and bring awareness to environmental changes and impacts.
We design and undertake initiatives and programs aimed at fulfilling three Environment Pillars:
- Protection of tradition and culture
- Reducing impacts on the environment
- Community-driven involvement
