Come for an appointment – stay for the gathering!
Access to affordable dental care remains a significant challenge for many Métis Albertans. Since November 2022, the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation Within Alberta (MNA) Health Department has collaborated with Access for All Dentistry, a student-led initiative at the University of Alberta School of Dentistry, to offer free dental clinics to Métis Citizens across Alberta. Our dental clinics aim to provide more than just essential dental care; they seek to foster connection to Métis culture and promote the holistic well-being of Citizens. To achieve this, we offered community gathering opportunities alongside dental clinic operations. These opportunities included daily wellness activities and a community supper and musical performance.
This event is about bringing our community together, improving health, and enjoying quality time with neighbours and friends.
What to Expect:
1. Free Dental Services:
The Otipemisiwak Métis Government Health Department, in partnership with the University of Alberta School of Dentistry, will provide free dental services to Métis Citizens. Services include dental exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and more!
