Statement from President of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government

May 24, 2024

On behalf of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, I want to thank our Métis National Council President, Cassidy Caron, for her service and dedication to the Métis Nation. During her time as President, she has been a steadfast advocate for our rights, our heritage, and our future, fighting to advance the interests of Métis communities across our Nation.

We wish her all the best in starting a family as she embarks on this new and exciting chapter of her life. Becoming a parent is a profound experience, and we know that she will bring the same strength, compassion, and resilience to motherhood that she has demonstrated as a leader.

President Caron’s contributions have left a significant mark on the Métis Nation. We look forward to building on the work she has done and to continuing to advocate for our people.
