The Chair of Citizens’ Council has formally received and accepted the resignation of Tai Amy Grauman, Provincial Women’s Representative and Provincial Secretary for the Advancement of Women and Girls. As of May 26, 2025 Ms. Grauman is no longer serving in her respective roles.
“I want to express my gratitude to Tai for her service to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government,” said President Andrea Sandmaier. “She was a strong voice for Métis women in Alberta in both Council and Cabinet. As she steps away from her elected role to focus more on her passion for the arts, I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
“I am grateful for this opportunity,” said Grauman. “I have learned a great deal, and I extend my appreciation to the citizens, leadership, and staff of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government. I will continue to support Metis Women in Alberta through the arts.”
In accordance with the Elections and Referenda Act, a by-election will be held, with the specific election date to be determined by the Cabinet.
