Join us for a practical guide to transition planning for youth with FASD.
Welcome to Transition Planning for Youth with FASD!
We’ve all heard the quip, “adulting is hard.” For young adults with FASD, early adulthood can be particularly challenging due to difficulties with executive function, dysmaturity, and a lack of appropriate supports.
Join us for an insightful discussion led by Robbie Seale. We will delve into the critical importance of transition planning for young people with FASD. Robbie will cover why transition planning is essential, the ideal time to begin, and practical steps for parents and caregivers to support their loved ones with FASD. Métis families in Alberta will be especially interested to learn about our new FASD Bridging Futures Program. This program is specifically designed for Métis youth with FASD and their families. This FREE program provides tools and support necessary to create a comprehensive transition plan for their loved one with FASD.
Robbie Seale is part of our FASD Bridging Connections Team. She is also the mother of five children, including three teens with FASD, and the host of the FASD Family Life Podcast. With her extensive personal and professional experience, Robbie offers a wealth of knowledge and practical advice for families navigating the challenges of FASD.
