April 5

Join us for the premiere of Finding Justice: Métis families’ experiences with the Criminal Justice System.

On March 28, 2020, Jacob Sansom and Maurice Cardinal, two Métis men, were found shot dead outside their vehicle in rural Alberta after returning from a successful hunt.

Four years later, their families are ready to share their story.

On April 5, 2024, join us for the premiere of “Finding Justice: Métis families’ experiences with the Criminal Justice System,” at the Edmonton Public Library’s Whitemud Crossing Branch.

This hour-long documentary tells the families’ experiences with the criminal justice system and their calls for changes following the trial.
