Energy Education Series – Understanding Alberta’s Energy System
During the 2024 Climate and Energy Engagement sessions, you told us that you want to learn more about Alberta’s energy system, and we’re here to make that happen.
Join us for our first Energy Education webinar, Understanding Alberta’s Energy System, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on March 3 to learn about utility services, renewable energy sources, and Alberta’s electrical grid!
This session will feature Brendan Struthers and Freddie Huppé Campbell (she/they), two Métis energy experts. Drawing on their technical knowledge and community perspective, they’ll explain how Alberta gets its power, what role renewable energy plays in its electrical grid, and what the province’s power sources mean for Métis households. You’ll also learn why renewable energy sources matter and see how they compare to conventional energy generation options.
This webinar will be hosted on Zoom.
