Askîy Youth Ice Fishing Program
Are you an Otipemisiwak Métis Government Citizen between the ages of 18 and 29 who wants to learn on the land? Apply today for a chance to join the February 2026 intake of the Askîy Youth Ice Fishing program!
From February 16 to 21, successful applicants will travel between different waterbodies to learn traditional Métis fishing techniques, ice fishing, and fish processing from experienced harvesters and the Otipemisiwak Métis Government’s Environment team.
No previous fishing experience is required, and we’ll cover your accommodation, travel, and meals.
