ABOUT US
The Nekinan is a hostel near Smokey Lake and Métis Crossing. It hopes to tie in a new hostel experience with rich Métis culture and an abundance of indoor and outdoor activities.
The hostel has multiple displays of Métis antiques and art, giving guests a chance to surround themselves with our culture. They hope guests will have an unforgettable experience at the lodge and learn more about the culture and history surrounding guests.
Rooms for long or short term stays:
- Private rooms for guests with bathrooms and mini fridge
- Twin or Queen beds for couples and families
- Shower room/bathrooms outside of the rooms
- Washer/dryer in snack room
Versatile community/event space:
- Large TV in community room
- Activity room with board games, books, and TV

Open kitchen with dinner plan:
- Dinner plan with chef who cooks meals everyday
- Free hot coffee, tea, and snacks available
Separate snack room with vending machines, mobile stovetop, and kettle
