ECC Speaker Spotlight – Prairies, Oceans, and Youth: Connecting the Drops

Everyone has a role to play in ocean conservation, even here in the prairies!

On January 14, join us for the Prairies, Oceans, and Youth: Connecting the Drops Speaker Spotlight. This webinar will run from 6:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. MST and explores the deep connection between prairie stewardship and ocean conservation.

Participants will hear from youth leaders who are developing innovative, community-based solutions that bridge land and water. They will also gain tools to manage water-related anxiety and enhance their knowledge of freshwater and ocean issues.

The session will highlight the voices of youth from the Prairies, celebrate their impact, and provide a space for reflection, dialogue, and shared learning.

About the Environment and Climate Change Speaker Spotlight

The Environment and Climate Change Department’s (ECC) Speaker Spotlight is an initiative that invites Métis community members and industry professionals to share their skills and knowledge.

Through the Speaker Spotlight, ECC aims to create community spaces where Métis people can learn and share information on climate change, climate action, and environmental protections. Each spotlight will offer a new topic based on previous Otipemisiwak Métis Government Citizen feedback.
