Today, across Alberta and beyond, we’re coming together to celebrate Alberta Métis Fest and I couldn’t be more proud.
There is nothing quite like the feeling of community that comes from being together in person, hearing the music of the fiddle, watching the laughter of kids playing, the smell of bannock in the air, and seeing generations of Métis Citizens connecting with one another.
But while we celebrate, we also recognize that this is a challenging time for many Citizens. Wildfires continue to impact communities across Alberta, and we are keeping every Citizen facing evacuation, smoke, or disruption in our thoughts. Our teams are working hard to stay connected and to provide timely resources and support.
