Join guest speaker Craig Letendre, Otopemiswak Métis Government Harvesting Manager, as he shares how we can include the whole family in traditional Métis harvesting and gathering practices.
Craig is a lifelong Métis citizen from the historic community of Lac Ste Anne, where he lives with his family. Growing up fishing and setting gill nets with his grandfather, a commercial fisherman, Craig has continued this tradition as an active harvester. He has passed down his skills to his children, Joshua and Kirsten, who are also involved in harvesting.
Craig enjoys teaching Métis citizens how to set nets and fish, sharing his knowledge at the Frosty Reels Family Camps every spring and other Métis events.
