Papal Visit

In March Pope Francis accepted an invitation from residential school survivors to visit Canada. The Pope will be in the Edmonton area from July 24 to 27, with visits to Maskwacis, Commonwealth Stadium, and Lac Ste. Anne.
The MNA has limited spots available for Citizens who are residential school survivors. If you are a survivor and would like to attend any of the Papal visit events in Alberta, please call Lorna Dancey on 780-732-3330.

The Pope’s visit represents another step down the road of reconciliation following the historic visit to the Vatican in April. We are pleased he has chosen to spend time at culturally and spiritually significant sites here in Alberta.
