MNA President Audrey Poitras released the following statement today:
“The Métis Nation of Alberta applauds Margaret Froh for her victory as President in the Métis Nation of Ontario election on May 11 following the largest voter turnout in Métis Nation of Ontario history.
Margaret Froh is a proud Métis woman who has dedicated her career to serving Métis people as a lawyer, educator and leader. Ms. Froh started working for the Métis Nation of Ontario in 2013 as the Director of Strategic Policy Law & Compliance and later assumed the role of Associate Chief Operating Officer. Ms Froh’s expert understanding of Aboriginal Law, her insights into the operations of the Métis Nation of Ontario and her stalwart dedication to her citizens will ensure the success of the Métis Nation of Ontario in the years to come.
The continued success of the Métis Nation is contingent on strong leadership and the Métis Nation of Alberta looks forward to working with Ms. Froh to advocate on behalf of Métis people in negotiations.”
