November 15 at 9:30 a.m.

It was a cold November day when Louis Riel was executed for the crimes of high treason — he fought for the rights of the Métis people and paid the ultimate price for his efforts. To honour his legacy, we walk 6 km, just as his family and loved ones did to bring his body to the Saint-Boniface Cathedral.

Join us November 15 at 9:30 a.m. for the Louis Riel Commemorative Walk to St. Margaret’s Church Historical Site to honour the courage and sacrifices of Louis Riel. Mass and lunch are to follow.

Walk starts at Range Road 203 Wye Rd off Highway 14.

Mass and Lunch will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Deville North Cooking Lake Community League Hall.

Please park at the church or along the roadway and dress accordingly to the weather.
