On November 16, 1885, Louis Riel gave his life defending Métis rights. Every year, we gather to honour his legacy and pay tribute to his life.
Join us this year on November 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta (10800 97 Ave NW) for a commemoration ceremony. The event is open to the public and will feature prayers and music by the Prince Charles Fiddlers.
A bus will be available at the Edmonton Inn, departing at 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
