Committing to the Well-Being of Métis Children
The School Food Program supports Métis children and families by improving food security through initiatives that increase access to healthy food and build important food skills. The program provides equitable access to supports and resources that align with the priorities of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and Canada’s National School Food Policy.
Rooted in Métis culture, the program supports the sharing of traditional food knowledge and helps families develop lifelong food skills. Through this work, we aim to nurture the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of Métis children, empowering them to grow, learn, and thrive.
If you need help or have questions about the program, please reach out to schoolfoodprogram@metis.org or call us at (780)-455-2200.
