Bring Parker Home: Our Citizens Can Help

Right now, in Calgary, a family is living every parent’s worst fear. Eleven-year-old Parker, who is autistic and non-verbal, has been missing since July 16th. Calgary Police, search and rescue teams, and hundreds of volunteers have been searching around the clock, and they are asking the public to keep helping.
Family is the heart of who we are as a Nation. When one of our own, or any child in our communities, is missing, it touches all of us. The Otipemisiwak Métis Government is asking our Citizens across Alberta, especially those in and around Calgary, to help bring Parker home.
Here is how you can help:
If you are in Calgary, check your own property carefully. Sheds, garages, vehicles, under decks, and dense vegetation are all places Parker could be sheltering. He may not respond if called, so look and listen closely, even in spots that seem unlikely.
If you see a child who may be Parker, do not approach him. Stay where you can see him, note his location, and call the Calgary Police Service Non-Emergency Line at 403-266-1234, or 911 if there is immediate danger.
Search only on public property or property you have permission to access and never search alone.
