Congratulations to our Métis Graduates from Secretary of Education, Training & Veterans Affairs Lisa Wolfe!

This is an exciting time for students and families as graduation ceremonies take place in communities across Alberta. I am very proud to recognize the accomplishments of Métis students who are reaching this important milestone and preparing for the next chapter of their journeys.
Graduation represents the hard work, resilience, and determination of our students. Our graduates should be proud not only of what they have accomplished in the classroom, but also of the strength they carry as Métis people.
Métis students continue to have access to a variety of educational supports and funding opportunities through Rupertsland Institute, including scholarships, bursaries, apprenticeship funding, and post-secondary supports. Additional opportunities are available through the Belcourt Brosseau Métis Awards and Indspire.
I also want to remind our students that educational opportunities are endless. I hope you pursue post-secondary studies. Whether you are going to college, university, or trade school, I encourage you to keep pursuing higher levels or learning.
Métis education is a lasting legacy, a critical step that our Métis ancestors fought for; for future generational success!
