In Memory of Parker
Posted on: Jul 30, 2026
Our thoughts and prayers are with Parker’s family, with the first responders who searched tirelessly for nearly two weeks, and with the many Citizens who held on to hope and refused to give up looking.
Parker was found on July 29th. The search that brought hundreds of officers, search and rescue crews, and countless volunteers together was a powerful reminder of what community looks like when a child needs to be found. So many of our Citizens shared his photo, searched their own properties, and kept his name and face in front of others, and that mattered, even though the outcome is not the one anyone hoped for.
Family is the heart of who we are as a Nation. When a child is lost, the whole community feels it, and when a child is found and brought home, however heartbreaking the circumstances, that too is something we hold together.
To Parker’s family: we grieve with you. No words can ease what you are carrying, but please know that this community saw your son, searched for your son, and will not forget him.
We also want to thank the Calgary Police Service, the Calgary Fire Department, and every search and rescue member and volunteer who gave their time and their hearts to this search.
Rest gently, Parker.
Kinanâskomitin,
