Citizens' Gathering

Join us as we celebrate 98 years of gathering and mark another year of our Nation’s dedication to continued growth and unity.

Our theme for this year, ê pimohteyahk miyo pimohtewin – We Walk Forward in a Good Way, comes from the tradition of lobsticks and acknowledging how far we have come on the journey of self-governance.

We invite you to join us at this year’s Citizens’ Gathering, August 20 at the Big Fish Bay RV Resort and August 21 & 22, at the Multi-Rec Centre in Slave Lake at 305 6 Ave SW.

Over the three days, you’ll be able to learn more about your government, ask questions, support Métis artists, connect with community, and so much more!

This year’s RSVP is also used for camping reservations; therefore, anyone who wants a camping spot needs to complete the RSVP to do so. The RSVP is NOT MANDATORY; Citizens who do not RSVP are also welcome to take part in the gathering. Please note, your RSVP does not register you to vote August 21 or 22. Registration is required to vote each day.
