Come take a walk with us!

The Métis Nation of Alberta’s Environment and Climate Change Department is pleased to offer our Traditional Plant Camps once again.

Embark on a guided walk with Métis cultural educator Natalie Pepin to learn about traditional plants and how to create your own medicinal salve. Gain a deeper understanding of the plants around us, their cultural significance, and how they can help us.

Space is limited and offered on a first come, first-serve basis. Register today!

Event details:

  • – Each event will begin with a 2.5-hour walk where you will learn how to locate and identify traditional plants.
  • – Natalie will share stories and discuss the cultural and ecological significance of the plants.
  • – In the afternoon, you will learn how to make a medicinal salve.

Note for Attendees: Please bring a portable chair/lawn chair and a bagged lunch.
