November 16
Every year on the week of November 16, in memory of Louis Riel’s wrongful execution, we proudly honour our Métis heritage and celebrate the future of our vibrant and everlasting Métis Nation.
Join us at the Alberta Legislature as we commemorate Riel’s life and legacy on November 16. Please arrive by 10:15 a.m. to ensure you are in the Legislature by 10:30 a.m. Please bring with you photo ID and enter the building through the west entrance. Street parking is available.
After the ceremony, come celebrate the Youth Centre Grand Opening at 11821 123 St, Edmonton with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and lunch to be served from 12 – 3 p.m. Street parking is available, and the back parking lot is accessible to anyone with disabilities. The building will have a wheelchair lift.
