Exhibition: Expressions of Métis Religion and Spirituality
We invite you to visit Harcourt House Gallery from August 7 to September 19, for Expressions of Métis Religion and Spirituality. This exhibition explores the diverse ways Métis people can experience, inherit, learn, rediscover, and express spirituality and religion. Developed through conversations with community, Elders, researchers, and religious leaders, the exhibition reflects on how historical legacies and contemporary influences shape Métis identity, resilience, and well-being.
Métis artists Arlo Henry, Christopher Savard, Jocelyn Lamothe, Krista Leddy, Kirsten Lindquist, and Maria Nelson have come together to create an exhibition that represents the diverse identities and experiences of Métis religion and spirituality. Central to their research is the question of how historical legacies and contemporary influences shape Métis individuals’ engagement with traditional Indigenous spirituality and religion and the subsequent implications for cultural identity, resilience, and community well-being.

The exhibits will be on show from August 7 – September 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday to Saturday).
