Connections That Guide Us:
Walking Forward in a Good Way
Take time to reflect, reconnect, and explore the strength that already exists within you.
The Justice Department of the Otipemisiwak Government invites Edmonton residents (18+) to attend a two-day, Métis-led in-person workshop designed to support connection, reflection, and meaningful ways to move forward.
We recognize that life experiences can bring stress, change, and complexity. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and in ways that feel right for them, within a space grounded in respect for each person’s journey.
Artistic Expression
Words alone are not always enough. Through artistic expression, participants will have an opportunity to explore thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences in creative and reflective ways.
This process may support self-understanding, emotional processing, personal accountability, and insight.
Healing with the Land
Recognizing the Land as a living relative and teacher, participants will be invited into reflection, creativity, storytelling, and gentle land-based teachings that support wellness, connection, and renewal. Traditional medicines and cultural teachings may be shared respectfully throughout the gathering, with participation always remaining optional and guided by personal comfort and choice.
Our space will be guided by respect, confidentiality, and care for one another.
No prior artistic experience is required.
We welcome all participants who are 18 years and older and reside in Edmonton.
