Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment and nonjudgmentally, to the unfolding of experiences moment by moment.
Come and learn specific skills that will help you manage stress and the difficult emotions in your life. You will learn new ways of managing negative or anxious thoughts and the importance of self-compassion. These practical skills will also help with decision-making, getting along with others, and increase your general sense of well-being.

Presenter: Melanie Palmier
Melanie Palmier has been a Registered Psychologist in Alberta since 2008 and has built her practice around working with children and families. She established MP Psychology in 2013 and has been working with government agencies, schools, and communities throughout Alberta. Melanie will present a variety of mindful activities that have been proven to decrease anxiety and increase your ability to deal with difficult situations.
