Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Bonnyville, however I am currently living in Cold Lake, where I teach first grade!

What Region do you represent? Any family ties you’d like to mention?

I represent Region 2. I was raised in a family where our culture was buried and nearly lost. Almost all of the things that I have learned about different cultural practices has been from different events held by the Métis Nation.

What are your interests?

I really enjoy camping and travelling!

Why are you involved with the MNA?

I have been on the MNA Youth Council for four years. I am one of the remaining founding members. However, I have been involved in the Métis Nation for about five years.

One of the biggest reasons I like to be involved with the Métis Nation is due to all the amazing friendships that I have made throughout. I also really like learning about Métis culture.
